Current and Recent Experience of the Company
During the past 30 years, TERA Planning Ltd has been responsible for resource inventory and analyses in over 500 assignments. Studies have ranged from the resource inventory and development suitability of the Blair Rifle Range for Central Mortgage and Housing Corporation, to the terrestrial ecology and resource suitability of the Prince Rupert area for a proposed bulk loading terminal conducted for a joint Federal-Provincial steering committee.
Projects have included environmental and social impact assessments of proposed marinas at Saanichton Bay and Powell River for Indian Bands, and inventories and analyses of large tracts of land being considered for development in several regional districts and municipalities in British Columbia as well as areas for park consideration. The company has conducted vegetation and wildlife enhancement programs including tree preservation, sedge transplant and wildlife habitat compensation and enhancement programs for recreational, residential and industrial developments. TERA's clients range from federal and provincial government to large corporations, Indian Bands and private individuals.
